Speak with Love
This community is a kind, friendly, and safe place for civilized discourse. When in doubt, remember this rule: speak with love. All else flows from that.
Treat this forum with the same respect you would a discussion at a veterinary conference. This is a place to share skills, knowledge, and interests through ongoing conversation.
Disrespectful speech and bullying will not be tolerated.
Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree
You may wish to respond by disagreeing. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:
- Name-calling
- Ad hominem attacks
- Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
- Knee-jerk contradiction
Instead, provide thoughtful insights that improve the conversation.
We do not all agree on the best ways to practice medicine. We do not all agree on which therapies work best. But we will never disparage another’s approach.
Maintain Privacy
This is a private forum, and posts should not be shared outside this group at any time. This includes sharing screenshots, copying and pasting text, etc.
Although our forum allows posts in anonymous mode, please use this sparingly, and only for especially sensitive situations.
Post Only Your Own Stuff
You may not post anything that belongs to someone else without permission or clear attribution.
Copyright for any text or images is assumed to belong to the person who posted it, unless stated otherwise.
No Self Promotion
Posts that promote your commercial business, website, MLM activity, or products will be deleted unless said services are directly applicable to another user’s question. Affiliate or referral links are not allowed, nor is asking someone to contact you privately for more details.
Rule of thumb: if you or your friend stands to gain financially from your post–don’t.
Job postings are fine, as are any postings for non-profits.
We will allow limited promotional posts on a case-by-case basis; please contact us before posting.
Your Participation Counts
The way you engage with the forum helps identify the best (and worst) contributions on the site. Please use bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, watching, muting and so forth to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.
When you see bad behavior, please flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.
Let’s leave our community better than we found it.
Use Your Judgment
We do not preview new posts; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community, nor do we warrant the accuracy of any medical advice. Please do your due diligence before incorporating any ideas into your practice.
And Finally…
Moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time.
If there’s a critical or urgent issue that can’t be handled by a flag, please contact the moderators.
